Tim Jacob, who has been painting since 2002,  uses a technique called "puddle painting" with watery overlays. After spilling a splash of coffee one morning, Tim accidently found a different technique to convey color. While some call his technique impressionism or even pointillism, Tim calls it a way to have fun.

Many of his art scenes are rural Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi making up the fascinating Delta region.  "The Delta is stark, empty, desolate, and lonely in the winter, but busy and vibrant in the summer while being serene and peaceful," said Tim.  "The water tower is a true symbol of rural life and serves as a lighthouse or skyscraper of every small town."

Recently, Tim has concentrated on night scenes, especially traffic during and after rain. He said, "We view so much of the world from our car so it seems natural to make the driver's view predominant. The reflections are fun and the mixture of natural and artificial light is always interesting."
